- LPDDR shares leading-edge 1a and 1b nm wafers with server DDR5 and HBM. When suppliers reallocate those wafers to AI memory, handset, laptop and automotive buyers compete for a smaller mobile allocation — and legacy LPDDR4X and LPDDR3 lines are being retired at the same time.
